The first stop on our taco adventure was Taco Bell. We ordered an assortment of different things. I tried some nachos first which were good. the cheese was nice and gooey, and the sour cream went well with the beef. Next, I tried a chalupa, which is just a fried gordita. A gordita, is pretty much a taco with a big soft, fluffy shell. I also tried a quesadilla, which was a bit dissapointing. The piece that I had, had little chesse and chicken, and was pretty much just hard dough. The atmosphere there was like what you would expect at a fast food place. But there were some interesting pieces of art on the walls.
Our next stop was Taqueria Coatzingo. This restaurant was a bit more traditional than Taco Bell. The atmosphere was more like that of a restaurant. There were also pieces of religious artwork all around. We ordered the same things we got at Taco Bell. The first thing they brought out were tortilla chips and salsa. This is like the bread and butter you might get at another restaurant. The salsa was fantastic. it was a little sweet and very spicy. That's one point for Coatzingo. I really enjoyed the gordita. It was nice and spicy, just how I like it. Taqueria Coatzing takes the win for gorditas in my book. For those of you keeping score, it's 2-0 Coatzingo. The next thing I had were the nachos. Even though they tasted good, it was all just a pile of toppings and was hard to scoop. Taco Bell wins for nachos. I tried the burrito next, and I must say it was a dissapointment. I did not really like what was inside. I did not get to try the burrito at Taco Bell, so no one wins this round. So let's talley up the scores shall we? The final score is Taco Bell: 1, Coatzing: 2. The winner is Taqueria Cotzingo.
Even though I enjoyed Coatzingo's food more, I liked both places. I had a great time with lots of great food.

Ethiopian Fun
My time at Abyssinia was enjoyable. The food was delicious. Everything was well seasoned, and as I said in my last post, I love spicy food. And Ethiopian food does not dissapoint. The first things we ordered as appetizers were sambusas. They brought us both vegetarian and meat ones. They were both equally delicious. Each had great flavors that combined together and... They were spicy! The extra kick brought the whole dish together. For our main course, we were brought a big platter of different foods on top of a delicious dough-like food called injaera. The foods on there were different types of vegetables like collard greens, cabbage, and lentils. The meats that they had were tibs, which are sauteed cubes of beef, doro wat, which is tender chicken, and yebeg alicha, which is cooked lamb. Each was seasoned deliciously. My favorite part was thaat we got to eat with our hands. What we would do was we ripped a piece of injaera and scooped some of the food on to it and ate it. It was a good process. I enjoyed not having to use utensils. Overall, the trip to Abyssinia was great. I ate great food, and had a great time.
Barbeque Fun
The time we had at Blue Smoke was really fun. The service there was excellent. We had very nice waiters at our table. I ordered the Blue Smoke Burger with bacon and bleu cheese on it. It was fantastic. The flavors of the bacon and bleu cheese together were extraordinary. The burger itself was also good. It was cooked the way I requested and was thick and juicy. There were also an assortment of barbeque sauces that were also good. I am a big fan of spicy, so I went with some hot sause to compliment by burger. The fries that cam with my dish were HUGE. I could barely finish them after I ate my burger. It was a never-ending pile of french fries. After we were finished eating, the chef took us into the kitchen to see the huge smokers where they cooked all the meats, ribs, and chicken in. It smelled delicious and you could feel the heat radiating from them. Thats how hot they were. Overall, my experience at Blue Smoke was a good one. I had a great time, and had lots of good food.

Pizza Fun
Hello food lovers,
Since I was unable to go on the pizza tour last week, I will tell you about a pizza place that I like to go to. The place is called Pazzo Pizza. It is relatively new, so you might not have heard of it. It is on the corner of 41st street and 2nd avenue. The pizza there is great. I like the pepperoni pizza. There are also so many other types of pizza for you to choose get. But if you are not in the mood for pizza, they have other Italian food as well. I for one, love the shrimp parmesan hero there. I also love the fried calamari, yum. It is both crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. It is great with the lemon juice that they squirt on. The acidic taste brings out the flavor. They also have food that is not Italian there. For example, you can get hamburgers, salads, and even fish and chips for you Brits out there. You can get great food there for a reasonable price.
